Fundraisers & Events

We'll provide a display table with several species of nonvenomous snakes, including local Texas Snakes, other snakes from the U.S., and even some exotic snakes. We'll bring at least one large snake that is great for photo opportunities.

Educational Snake Shows

School programs are entertaining, informative and beneficial for children of all ages. Whether you are a public or private school, a homeschool group, or even a Boy Scout or Girl Scout troop, we make learning about snakes fun and educational! We bring many different species of non-venomous snakes for the children to view and touch.

Our emphasis is on teaching about the environment and how snakes/reptiles provide their part for the balance of nature. Our concentration is on the indigenous snakes of Texas. Our hands-on approach with snakes educates as well as entertains all audiences!

Our snakes are healthy and disease-free. We also bring anti-bacterial (water-free) hand soap for the children to use before and after handling snakes.

Texas Snakes & More provides discounts to schools that have multiple classes attending Mr. Clint's Educational Snake Show, i.e. set up in one classroom/auditorium and then have rotating classes/grades.

RATES

We typically charge $175 for one program with up to 40 children (lasting about an hour).
Two consecutive programs would be $250. Our daily rate is
$500 for up to 6 individual programs. If multiple days are booked, the rate goes down to $450/day.

We can work with you as much as possible on budgets/numbers of kids/etc. The program presented will also vary based on age of kids (i.e., all programs are age-appropriate).

Snake Parties!

Are your kids tired of the same old birthday parties year after year? Are you ready for something unique and different for your child? It's time for Mr. Clint "the Snake Man" education and entertainment!

Snake birthday parties by Mr. Clint the Snake Man are fun and educational. Mr. Clint will come to your birthday party location, and share his absolute love of reptiles, why they are important for our environment, and what to do when you spot a snake in its natural habitat. As age groups are different, each show is adjusted (time and information) to fit the appropriate age of your child. Mr. Clint helps both the children and the parents with their fears and apprehensions about snakes, and most of the time, people who thought they'd never touch a snake touch, hold, and enjoy learning about his scaly friends!

We bring non-venomous and non-aggressive snakes. We also provide waterless hand sanitizer before and after any contact with our snakes. The goal is to excite the children and have fun, so they can laugh and understand that snakes are animals like most others. What's more fun than getting your picture taken with a beautiful snake around your shoulders?

Have your snake party at the Nature Discovery Center!

Become a family member of the Nature Discovery Center (located at 7112 Newcastle in Bellaire) for only $50. Then you can reserve the pavilion for your child's snake birthday party by Mr. Clint! Membership also has other great benefits, such as a quarterly newsletter, class discounts, and invitations to special events!

We suggest that you book your party at least 4-6 weeks in advance, as our calendar fills up quickly. However, if you have waited until the last minute to plan your birthday party entertainment (or you found us at the last minute!), give us a call anyway! We just might have an opening for your birthday surprise!!

Suggestion: Schedule the Snake Show 15-30 minutes after your party begins to give the guests plenty of time to arrive (Example: if your invitations say 1:00, schedule the snake show for 1:15 or 1:30).

Note: If you want to have your party outdoors, the temperatures must be
comfortable to humans (not too hot or too cold), as snakes are cold-blooded
and become the temperatures of their surroundings. Ideal temperatures are
between 68-78 degrees. Important: Mr. Clint says kids do not listen/pay attention as well outdoors, and snakes are not comfortable in warm hands when temperatures are warm. Mr. Clint has never lost a snake or left one behind. Mr. Clint prefers all birthday party presentations occur indoors.

Make sure you have plenty of film/disk space for your camera! There will be lots of great photo opportunities!

Also, please make sure to leave a close parking space for the Snake Man on the date of the party - he is carrying 30-40+ pounds of critters! And, if you live in a gated community, please let us know in advance and give us the code or other instructions for getting in. Thanks for your help in this matter!
